Perfect Weather Accompanies Nevada Bob to Minnesota
Bob Gordon in front of Corktown, an eating establishment in Duluth. Last week Bob Gordon arrived in Minnesota to record his memoir 50 Years with the Wrong Woman as an audiobook. As one who has spent three decades listening to audiobooks, I can tell you up front that I was a little nervous about Nevada Bob being the narrator of his own book. I say this because at least half or more of the audiobooks read by their authors come across less than great. (My favorite audiobook reader, until now, has been Grover Gardner .) Nevada Bob has a distinctive baritone voice. It really resonates, which is why people enjoy his music. His story has a lot of emotional moments which no one could convey like Bob, who lived through them. Nevertheless, they did a short trial to be sure it would work. He was sensational.
